Book From Tape Acting Studios is looking to collaborate with new instructors for our 2020-2021 season. We are an equal opportunity employer that works with actors age 5-95.  We are seeking to build a community of artists who are both professionals in their field and who can also provide expertise in group classes, workshops, and one-on-one coaching & taping. We encourage folx who actively widen our scope and outreach to underserved or under-represented communities.

WHO: Seeking trained working actors & acting teachers who are based in Central Florida. Minimum BA required (or equivalent experience) with at least 2 years teaching experience. Seeking performer/ teaching artist hyphanents who’ve got a passion for acting and/or a relevant discipline within the industry.
Examples of subject areas: Improv, Shakespeare, Yoga, Combat, Writing, On-Camera, Dialects, Voice (Lessac/ Linklater), Chekhov, Scene Study, Private Coaching, Casting, Script Analysis, Movement (Laban, Viewpoints), Commercial, Voiceover etc.


WHAT: Interested teachers, should be prepared to submit: 

  • Acting Resume

  • Teaching Resume or CV

  • And/Or Relevant Links to their Work


Teachers who are invited to interview may also be requested to submit additional materials, including (but not limited to) a sample lesson plan and a short self-taped professional bio.

WHEN: UPDATE: Materials are being accepted on a rolling basis. Potential collaborators will be contacted for interviews throughout the rest of 2020 year with the hopes of making offers at the start of 2021. While not all candidates will be hired immediately, our hope is to build a database of quality teaching artists who we can employ throughout the coming year for workshops, coaching, and classes as opportunities arise.


COMPENSATION: Substitute teaching artists receive an hourly rate of $25/hour, with the opportunity to be added to the team as a part-time/full-time teaching artist, with an hourly rate of $35/hour. Coaches working in a private coaching or taping environment will receive no less than $18/hour. As always, each instructor will be encouraged and considered for further development as they grow within the company.

PLEASE NOTE: Currently the remainder of our classes at Book From Tape will remain virtual through the end of 2020.

Limited in-person tapings are also being offered at each individual coach's comfort level with proper PPE in place.
