What can the movements of Voldemort, Hagrid, Dementors, and wand fights help us with character development and the Moment Before in an audition? How do summoning charms, spells, and mind traps serve us in Script Analysis? This is a high-energy, fast-paced event that will teach young actors a wealth of advanced tools while having fun. The Laban technique is a profound kinesthetic and emotional tool to get inside different characters' energies, breath/voice, and processes. We will provide a physical warm-up, explore the 8 Action Drives, translate these theatrical tools for the on-camera actor, and actively apply them to character work on camera. Actors in this workshop will walk away with a new understanding of their body/mind connection and how to actively use this in an audition or character development. Open to ages 16+ and wrapped up with a Q&A.
