Actors will explore scene work through a deep dive into text alaysis. Rather than rotating different scripts each week, students will get to use the entire 6 week period to explore one script from a contemporary play or film/TV script. Actors will focus on breaking down objectives, beats, tactics and explore and mine the text for clues in order to interpret clear and specific performances. Students will also utilize imagery, punctuation, and stage descriptions in order to define and clarify both the tangible events of a scene, and the character driven clues to build believable performances.
