All actors have those times when we just can't crack a character... And when you only have a few days to turn in your self-taped audition, you may find yourself struggling to delve into the inner psychology of this difficult character. Here's a trick: Cast a different actor to play the role and watch them do the scene for you. If this project had an unlimited budget, who would be cast to play this role? Allow that actor to make choices for you. You will instantly have a better understanding of the character and a more intentional, grounded audition.
